Dear Friends of ICE,
It's been quite a month for ICE! We've had two rave reviews in the New
York Times in the past three weeks, and a piece in this week's New
Yorker blog described the ensemble's recent Stravinsky concert at the
Morgan Library as "brilliant."
But we're not done with the season yet...in fact, we're just gearing
up for our biggest event of the season! From May 2-7 in New York City,
ICE will launch 3G, a unique festival featuring three generations of
new music from Mexico.
Over the course of a single week, we will be giving the world
premieres of ten new works tailor-made for the ensemble, as well as
the US premieres of ten recent works by fourteen extraordinary Mexican
composers. We are excited to announce that many of the composers will
be in attendance at the festival, working with the ensemble in open
rehearsals, workshops and pre- and post-concert chats with our
audiences.
We hope that you can join us for this exciting week of events!
