ented, smashingly successful eleven-concert

York this week to present
three different programs in three New York venues this month, including
<span style=3D"font-weight: bold;">seven world premieres. <BR>

ICE
is proud to launch <span style=3D"font-weight: bold;">ICETANK!</span>,
a new series in one of New York=E2=80=99s hottest
new venues =E2=80=93 The Tank in Tribeca. ICETank will present eight ICE
programs this season on the first Wednesday of each month featuring a
different sub-set of the ensemble's 30-member roster. ICE's kinetc
flute section, Claire Chase and Eric Lamb, kick off the series with a
performance of new flute works by New York composers Samuel Pluta,
Marcelo Toledo and Huang Ruo, alongside classics by Steve Reich and
Bruno Maderna.<BR>

The
Washington Square Contemporary Music Society presents ICE in a concert
of new works by composers still in their twenties and thirties. WORLD
PREMIERES of recent ICE commissions by Mario Diaz de Leon, Jenny
Johnson, Christopher Moore and Panayiotis Kokoras will be featured, as
well as the NEW YORK PREMIERE of <span style=3D"font-weight: bold;">Jason E=
ckardt=E2=80=99s </span><span style=3D"font-weight: bold; font-style: itali=
c;">16</span> for flute and string trio. All five composers will be in atte=
ndance.<BR>

ICE
presents a concert of new electro-acoustic music by young composers at
Issue Project Room, a raw exhibition space for a wide range of
experimental music. <span style=3D"font-weight: bold;">NEW YORK </span>and =
<span style=3D"font-weight: bold;">WORLD PREMIERES </span>of new
ICE-commissioned electro-acoustic works by New York based composers
Nathan Davis and Mario Diaz de Leon are slated, as well as the WORLD
PREMIERE of an interactive electro-acoustic improvisation with ICE and
Greek composer Panayiotis Kokoras.<BR>

After that, we head back to Chicago for two events on October 18th and 20th=
